Lord Thomas McNally is Leader in the House of Lords of British Parliament of the third Largest British Political Party. The Liberal Democrats Party has 63 Members of Parliament in the House of Commons and 78 in the House of Lords. In October 2004 Lord McNally was elected unopposed to be leader of the Liberal Democrats in the House of Lords, succeeding Baroness Shirley Williams when she retired from that position. Lord McNally was appointed a member of the Privy Council in February 2005.
